Whenever a need arises to generate
SDI signals from consumer or prosumer equipment, the AD601 provides
a neat economical solution. A SCART connector plugged into a
TV, VCR or set-top box picks up a composite (625/525 PAL/NTSC
auto switched) output or RGB (for best possible DVD/SDI quality)
output (this is automatically selected by a voltage on pin 16)
and converts it to a 601/656 SDI 270Mb/s output on a BNC. The
unit is powered via a 2.5mm screwlock DC connector and this
latest version features a digital 10 bit RGB matrix for even
better picture quality.
Two power supplies are available. One is an in-line type with
IEC inlet (Mains cable not included), the other is a plug-in
type, with interchangeable pins for UK/Euro use. Both have screwlock
DC plugs. An in-line SCART socket is also available. |
