E-MEDIAVISION.COM AND MAPCUBE PARTNER TO PROVIDE
REAL-TIME ON-AIR MAPPING AND GRAPHICS SOLUTIONS

London, England, September 9, 2005…e-mediavision.com today announced a partnership with Mapcube, whereby e-mediavision.com will integrate its POINT-HD system with Mapcube’s flagship product, Mapcube Media. POINT is an industry leading presentation and broadcast graphics system that provides SD and HD-SDI functionality from a single system.

Mapcube Media is a high-resolution 3D map technology developed for broadcasting. It enables generation of complete and accurate maps in seconds. Mapcube comes with a variety of advanced map creation features such as the ability to download and display satellite and aerial imager that is free and unrestricted for use through various sources.

POINT-HD is a touch screen system that allows operators to draw onto a TV picture in real time, giving immediacy and extra content to any broadcast. Applications include sports, news, weather, conferences, training, and corporate presentations. POINT-HD is ideally suited to live productions due to its ease of operation. The control surface is a touch sensitive LCD (or Plasma for in-shot use) screen or Holo Screen with a simple graphical interface allowing fast and error free operation.
Combining these two leading technologies provides broadcasters with a strong solution for their real-time, on-air mapping and graphics needs, as presenters and journalists can now comment and annotate the maps real-time versus traditional time-consuming rendering, and then overlay the graphics onto the maps, providing a more realistic viewer experience.

Kash Acharya, Managing Director of e-mediavision.com, states, “By integrating Mapcube Media and Point-HD, two of the worlds leading graphics products, we offer our clients a unique solution for presenting high resolution 3D graphical maps and interactive graphics in one solution in high definition. Presenters, journalists and commentators can draw, point or annotate over live maps with enhanced graphics that will captivate the viewer.”

John Ackerman, VP of Sales and Marketing, comments, “We at Mapcube are very excited about partnering with e-mediavision.com and integrating these two great products. Combining the graphics power of Mapcube Media with the live presentation capabilities of Point-HD will provide presenters a must-have tool for live on-air presentations.”
