or 'telestration' and has been enhancing live broadcasts since
2000. Based on a touch screen control, the system offers unprecedented
power, quality and flexibility for telestration applications.

innovative features are easy to use and make it the perfect
tool for a live presentation.
The system features include:
Easy Control - touch screen interface designed
for any non-technical operator.
Simple Controls - quick and easy, allowing
non-technical operators to confidently present the on air
graphics.
Real-time - instant graphics that immediately
draw under the touch of your finger tip.

video input/output structure (10bit, 4:2:2).
Open architecture software - allowing POINT to be customized
for your own applications.
Instant
Commentary
POINT provides an instant way to visually comment on the
content of your broadcasts. with a range of easy to use menus
and editable tools the presenter will feel comfortable in
using POINT.
Touch
Screen Interface
Using touch screen technology means there are no mice, clunky
graphics tablets or light pens. You just use your finger.
Simply select the tool you want then point or drag your finger
across the screen to create the desired effect immediately.
POINT can support two touch screens, allowing a touch screen
to be setup for the operator/commentator and a separate touch
screen to be housed in the CAR/Outside Broadcast truck for
engineering set ups or control override. Alternatively, a
touch screen can be mounted on the presenter's desk and a
second touch screen can be set up on a large plasma screen
for in camera shots and guest discussions.
Quick and Easy to use
All the preset tools, menu settings and features are
easily changeable and can be customized for your specific
presenters.
You can choose a set up that suits you. For example
on one show you might need only two simple tools; you
can easily create a user interface that provides just
these tools and nothing else. Alternatively, you can
crate a series of "Scenes" that allow you
to recall preset tools and graphics quickly and easily.
Made a mistake? One touch of the UNDO button will remove
it! Want to clear the screen or re-do a graphic? It's
easy with POINT's user-friendly on-screen buttons.
Open
Architecture for Integrated Graphics
You're not limited to just arrows! POINT is totally open
architecture which means you can import 32 bit TGA (Targa™)
and standard PC files that you have created on software such
as Adobe Photoshop™ or other common graphics applications.
Dynamic graphics such as icons, logos and special characters

Technical
Jargon Explained
POINT's setup procedure couldn't be easier. It features a
standard Windows interface and BNC video controls. POINT can
be used in two modes - downstream key mode or self key. In
downstream key mode the key and fill output of the unit is
connected to the input of a vision mixer/keyer - this allows
the director to preview POINT before bringing the system live
and control it as a separate DSK. Alternatively POINT has
its own built in high quality keyer allowing the program output
to be fed though the system and keyed on and off by the operator.
For remote applications we have our own custom built interface
box which allows distances of up to 600 metres from the control
panel to the main unit using standard CAT5e cable.
